           Hazel's Notes:  We joined Lou Bank mezcal aficionado and force of nature in the mezcal as he shares his passion for all things              agave with us while pouring tastes of several rare agave spirits. He is based in Chicago with frequent travel to mezcal countr                and organizes tastings, fundraises for causes in Oaxaca, and generally spreads the good word about mezcal. He founded
           S.A.C.R.E.D. (Saving Agave for Culture, Recreation, Education and Development) a US-based, 501c3 not-for-profit that uses                    traditional and artisanal agave spirits from rural Mexico to help  improve the quality of life in the communities where those                    spirits are made. ​          Hazel's Notes:  Thanks to host James Menite [USBGNY VP and guest on Bartender Journey Podcast No. 213] we were able to             join fellow USBGNY members for rooftop networking with views of the Empire State Building while tasting through four                      expressions from the Michters Portfolio including the  Limited Release Barrel Strength.
          Featured cocktails were: Midtown Manhattan (Michter's Rye), Hudson Breeze, Below 14th and Headed West (American                         Whiskey). Munchies included Watermelon Gazpacho, Pork Belly, Beef & Bacon Sliders, Ahi Tuna Crudites, Cheese &                               Charcuterie and Mixed Nuts.
