There is a hole in the Bartending community – Gary 'gaz' Regan passed away on November 15, 2019. He was an inspiration and mentor to a huge portion of the bartender community. His book The Joy of Mixology in 2003 was groundbreaking.. In that book he encouraged Bartenders to measure, to consider the glasswear carefully, to chill the glasswear, when to shake and when to stir. These things weren’t talked about much back then, but help lay the groundwork for where we are now. Then more important lessons about BEING a bartender.

He updated The Joy Of Mixology in 2018.

I'm a Bartender in a cocktailbar in Zurich called Bar Münster.
If you ever get to travel to zurich i would love to welcome you in our bar. Also some nice recommendations in zurich; Widder Bar (one of the biggest wiskey collections in Switzerland was also once in the top 50)
Tales bar, probably my favorite bar in Zurich. Amazing cocktails and some of the most experienced and friendly bartenders around.
Kronenhalle, also one of the top 50, the only worldclass winner from switzerland still makes cocktails behind the bar. Originals picassos on the wall and also an amazing restaurant.

Keep up the work, my go to when im cleaning my apartement.
